The Negative Self Talk
It is so easy to get into the habit of talking negatively to yourself especially if you’re surrounding yourself with negative people (another habit to cut) - spend some time in the morning writing down 5 things you’re grateful for and love about yourself to start your day off on a positive note.
Phone First Thing
This is one of the hardest habits to break because it’s now instinct for us to catch up on texts and the latest Instagram posts first thing when we wake up. Instead, create a 30-60 min morning routine that does not involve your phone or swap reading a book when you wake up or before you go to bed.
Lack of Water
Let’s be real, we can ALL drink more water. But I don’t think we understand the importance of H2O - it can make us feel low energy, dehydrate our skin and even cause anxiety. Suggest picking up your own personal (and cute) water bottle & aim to drink 6-8 of them per day. Routine creates habits!
Saying YES to Everything
If you want to be productive & happy, you need to learn how to say no & set boundaries. Stop saying yes to the things that drain your energy. Once you start saying no, your self-confidence and control will grow.
The Comparison Game
Nothing good comes from comparing ourselves to others - we are all unique and beautiful in our different ways & comparison only leads to a depletion in self-confidence. Instead focus on all of the wonderful things/people in your life & what you are grateful for each day.
Procrastination
The killer of all productivity. If you want to feel better & get more done, try implementing the 5 second rule. When you have a task to complete (that you don’t want to do), countdown from 5 to 1 and on 1, you force yourself up & complete it. After, reward yourself with a 5 min break and then on to the next task.
