Most people know that I am a self-tanner hoarder & I’m not ashamed to admit that. After spending way too much time in tanning beds as a teenager/college student, I thankfully stumbled across the world of self-tanning. A MUCH healthier way to get the glow without the harm. I have tried about every single tanning product out there & safe to say I like what I like and feel you will also! Self-tanners come in the form of spray bottles, mousses, lotions, drops, etc. — they have it all these days. When it comes to self-tanning, I do prefer mousse with a color guard, so you can see where the product is applied. So let me share my favorites with you!
Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam – this has been a go-to product for YEARS & it’s because it is good and reliable. I personally like the dark foam, but choose whatever is best for your specific skin tone. It isn’t the darkest tan, but it gives a nice, natural tone that makes it look like you’ve been out in the sun all day. I personally apply this at night & rinse the next morning. I would say leave it on for about 6-8 hours before rinsing.
Coco & Eve Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam – this might be my #1 right now & I’m a hard critic when it comes to self-tanning products. I tried this for the first time a few months ago and WOW. If you want a gorgeous dark tan that looks like you’ve been laying out on the beach in Cabo sipping on Pina Coladas, get yourself this bronzing foam! Just like the first one, I apply at night & rinse the next morning – give it at least 8 hours to fully develop.
Bondi Sands 1 Hr Express Aero Aerated Self Tanning Foam – we’ve all been at home, relaxing & then all of the sudden a friend calls us up for drinks and we realize “OH NO! I haven’t self-tanned!!” Well… this is the perfect product to have in your collection for these (rare for me) occurrences. It fully develops in 1 hour and gives you that perfect glow for drinks with the girls, dancing at the club or that wedding you totally forgot about.
Sol De Janeiro Glowmotions Glow Body Oil – even though this isn’t TECHNICALLY a self-tanning product, it’s become essential to my tanning routine. After rinsing off your tan in the shower, add a couple of drops of this oil to your lotion & get ready for that JLO glow, baby! Not only does it give your skin a gorgeous shimmer with a bronzy glow, but it smells INCREDIBLE. Whatever you would picture an all-inclusive Mexico vacation to smell like. Perfect for that tanned summer skin too.
L’Oréal Paris Sublime Self Tanning Water Drops – we cannot neglect the face especially in the summer where we want the tan glow without makeup. Add a couple of drops to your everyday moisturizer or sunscreen and watch a beautiful tan develop over a few hours. Don’t forget to WASH your hands, though. Or else you might have a mess on your hands (get it??).
Bondi Sands Self Tanning Lotion – this is a product that you can use two ways! If you self-tan and then want to add a little extra color without applying another layer of foam or spray, apply this lotion for a few days before having to scrub off your old tan. Adds moisture & glow at the same time. If you want a subtle tan, apply this tanning lotion by itself over a couple of days and watch your color develop!
