DAILY TO-DO LISTS
I have found that writing down my daily to-dos on a notepad or typing them in my notes has really helped me stay on task. This can be anything from a specific errand you have to run, project you have to finish or just staying on track with drinking enough water.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
Weekly schedules tend to be more in line with my work/life because most of my projects need to get done within a specific week. My days can be chaotic and some are more productive than others, so it feels better to know I can complete a task within a week rather than forcing it on a specific day.
MONTHLY CALENDAR
Whether you keep your calendar on your desk, fridge, wall in the kitchen… put it somewhere you go every day. It is a visual reminder and schedule for big events & when you continuously see it, it’s hard to forget.
BINS ON BINS ON BINS
I sure do love bins for organization & they come in all shapes and sizes. You can use them to organize your bathroom (hair products, makeup, cleaning supplies), office (tech, notepads & pens) and of course the toy room. You can also add labels and it allows you to know where everything is when you need it.
SET HOURS
if you work at home or run your own business, it’s tough to have that work/life balance that we all desire. So it’s important that you are setting time for meals, playing with the kids, exercise and work. This will help prevent burnout & allow you to set boundaries.
NOTEPAD FOR IDEAS
If you are like me and constantly have new ideas pop into your head throughout the day, I suggest having a designated notepad. One where you can write it all down & come back later to organize and plan.
CLEANING SCHEDULE
If you’re a SAHM or work from home, it can feel like there is always something that needs to be cleaned or organized. To help ease your mind, pick a room or task a day that takes only about 10-15 min max and create a schedule. That way you don’t feel overwhelmed and you have a designated area.
